1. When your pet is in your car with you, the best thing that you can do is ensure that they are restrained. We put on our seatbelts, your pets should be equally secured. In fact, recently I saw an incident that could have been very tragic. At a stop light, a beautiful dog seemingly slipped/jumped/fell out of an open window of an SUV. The driver panicked, jumped out of her SUV and retrieved her dog who got confused and started to wonder back into the traffic lane. Even I wanted to jump out to assist her and her poor doggie!
